Soft toys: Pretty Kitty tutorial

So I started out making this Pointy Kitty for one my friends. I thought it looked kind of creepy at first, but when I showed it to my hubby he thought it was pretty neat.
The great thing is that the pattern is available from WeeWonderfuls for FREE – and you know my family motto; if it’s free it’s for me!
The only problem that I found was with the under belly. It tells you to cut out two pattern pieces for this and sew them together. I tried to do this, I’m not sure if it was my fraying fabric or what, but it wasn’t working for me, so I put the pattern on a fold and re-cut those two pieces as one whole piece.

I obviously omitted the pattern for the back and face because we will decorate them ourselves. I was a little afraid of this pattern because I read that the legs and tail were a “bear” to turn right side out, (and you know I already have issues with that!)  but I figured I would give it a try. It’s by no means perfect (or pointy) but it looks good.

Here’s the head – it looks a little scary because there is no stuffing yet.
