Holiday crafts: Frugal Autumn Table Centerpiece!

Hallooween's day, Holiday & seasonal crafts, Home decor  |  September 15th 2011  |  0 Comment

Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I thought I would share my frugal Autumn table centerpiece with you!  The inspiration for this arrangement came from a Publix home mailer — of all places!

I filled a vase with a bag of birdseed.  Then I added sticks and branchesand used fishing line and straight pins to hang artificial pumpkins and leaves. To give it a finishing touch I tied scraps of ribbon and fabricaround the vase.

Voila!

This Autumn table centerpiece is easy on my wallet and beautifully dramatic! Just my style!

You could also add feathers, pine cones and/or real leaves. This arrangement could also be made on a much smaller scale. I’m thinking about using the vase and branches for Christmas. I just need to figure out if I want to fill the vase with something other than birdseed. I think it would be so beautiful to hang balls, snowflakes or greenery on the branches. I think a natural, organic look is gorgeous!
