New Year approaching, and with him his pleasant chores. So many questions, ranging from "What to give?" and ending with "What is to decorate a Christmas tree?". Today
so…i realized…maybe it was time to fall-ify my house…you know…since all three of my tree’s leaves have turned…anywho…for me…first thing i like to do is change up my soap scents…gotta get my nose in the holiday spirit…then the rest will follow…
well…got to thinking that i wanted do something a little different than the ‘ol bath & body works pump…and these little single use soaps came to mind…i didn’t feel right leaf-ing it up to you to figure out how they were done…so i did up a little tutorial!….
you’ll be needing…some wax paper…clear melt and pour soap…tweezers…and fragrance oil…
also…grab some polyester leaves…i got mine from oriental trading
…but i betcha you could find ‘em at your local craft stores!…
put your soap into the microwave…you’ll want to do a minute at 50%…if not melted…then do another 30 seconds at the 50%….now…this project doesn’t require very much soap…so just a few chunks will do….
add your fragrance oil and stir…
taking your tweezers…grab a leaf…
dip into the soap…make sure it’s fully covered….
let all the excess soap drip off…this just takes like half a minute…i help it along and shake a bit…now…sometimes the color will drip into the soap…don’t panic…it’s all good….
place on your piece of wax paper to cool…grab another leaf…and repeat!…
see all that shine?…well that’s the soap on there!…
once all done…put in a little dish and place by the sink…then your guests can grab a leaf…lather up…and throw away!…
ended up packaging some as gifties for my coworkers…just took some glassine bags…put a couple leaves in there…punched holes…and tied up with baker’s twine!…
i also put a couple in a plastic baggie to keep in my purse…just in case there’s ever a soap shortage in the public restrooms!…
