New Year approaching, and with him his pleasant chores. So many questions, ranging from "What to give?" and ending with "What is to decorate a Christmas tree?". Today
During our holidays last week, I was able to visit one of my favourite little shops. It's a quaint little place that offers all sorts

I’ve been sporting my Candy Corn nails since last Friday and I can say without a doubt that this manicure has gotten me far and away more compliments than ANY manicure I’ve ever worn. It is incredible how many people have noticed and commented on my nails these past five days (and not just women either!). The owner of Subway, a older man from India, said (how cute is this?), “This is the one time it is a good time to bite your nails!” It’s amazing – and it makes me not want to redo them in a new color! A lot of people I’ve run into asked me how I did this mani, so I wanted to do a quick step-by-step.
Step One
PAINT NAILS YELLOW
I used two coats of OPI Need Sunglasses?, but pretty much any yellow should work. Let that dry for a few minutes before moving to step 2.
Step Two
PAINT ORANGE STRIPES
I freehanded the stripes, but you could use french nail guides if that is easier. I made the stripes curved, because I thought that looked more candy corn-like. To do this, I painted from the left of the nail to the middle using the flatter side of the brush, then I painted from the right side over, connecting the two arcs. Then I filled everything in up to the tips of my nails. For this, I used OPI Flit A Bit. Let that dry before moving to step 3.
Step Three
PAINT WHITE TIPS

Complete the candy corns by adding white tips. This can also be done with french nail guides, as long as the polish below is totally dry. I freehanded this using the Kiss Nail Art Striper in white. This has a really thin, tiny brush, which is perfect for finer detail work.
Step Four
SECHE VITE!
To finish my mani, I applied TWO coats of Seche Vite. This helped to smooth out the layered feeling, plus it made my nails shiny and it has protected my mani for the past five days (no chips!).
Now go show off your fabulous Halloween nails
