Beautiful gift boxes for holiday Soon new year and a lot of holidays for which we give gifts. And that means we will need to have
New Year approaching, and with him his pleasant chores. So many questions, ranging from "What to give?" and ending with "What is to decorate a Christmas tree?". Today
During our holidays last week, I was able to visit one of my favourite little shops. It's a quaint little place that offers all sorts
I love doing this with my hair! It is my favorite! It takes a little time, but up later I will show you how you can make this style last three to four days! For now, lets learn how to create FABULOUS curl properly! Then I will connect new posts later for how to make this style last for you!
Ok first off, the most important part of this style is TOOLS!!!
You will notice in this picture I have 5 Items, this is what you will need for this style. (plus hair spray, forgot to put that in the photo.)
Hair spray-for this style you should choose something light and “water soluble”. Reason being, is that lighter sprays will not as likely weigh the hair down and make the curl come out.
Hair clip and hair pin-these are just to help with sectioning the hair.
Hair brush-yes, this is a “no brainer”, but the reason I mentioned it is because, this hair brush is a special kind. This part of the style is OPTIONAL, but gives GREAT results. This brush has BOARS HAIR in it. Boars hair is highly conditioning to the hair. It adds essential oils to it. It makes it appear softer and have more shine. It also helps the hair to be healthier.
11/2″ and 3/4″ curling irons. These curling irons are the most ESSENTIAL part of this look. They are gold plated irons by ”Hot Tools”. The reason they are SO important, is because silver irons will not get as hot, so in effect, they have very poor hold quality. Silver irons do not set the hair in place well, so you lose your curl almost immediately. The gold irons hold curls in place like non other. They get hotter than silver, but something about the way they are made does not damage the hair. It actually is better for the hair than a silver iron. These are a bit pricey,(about 30 dollars.) but they are worth their weight in gold!
So, getting started!
Brush hair thoroughly with boars hair brush or regular brush.
Section hair on the top/back of crown(for adding volume later) and pin with bobby pin.
Next split hair in half
On right side, pin hair up with clip to keep out of the way and curl in small sections with 3/4″ iron.
NOW here is an IMPORTANT part!
In order to keep the curls from all combining and turning into wavy hair, or a giant curl, you need to curl the hair in separate directions. IE take a piece and curl it out-turning iron toward the back of head.
Then curl the next piece in-curling inward toward the face.
This will keep the curls separated individually and adds nice volume.
Continue in this fashion till all the hair on that side of the head is curled-leaving out bangs, those will be curled at the end.
Once half way through, spray a light spritz of hair spray over curled locks.
Then when hair is finished on that side, spray with another light spritz. (not too much, spray weighs the hair down.)
Repeat process on other side-leaving bangs out. After you finish both sides, you are ready for bangs and the poof in the back!
BANGS:
Separate bangs into two sections.
Curl the top section with the 3/4″ iron
Then for the bottom section, tease under it to add a little volume
then spray a light spritz under bangs
then curl bags forward with 11/2″ iron.
Volume in back:
Now unpin hair on back of crown
separate into two pieces
take back piece and tease underneath
spray
let down and then curl with 3/4″ iron
Repeat with second front section
comb through hair with fingers to separate the curls
arrange hair then bush up poof in back and give hair one last spray
DONE!!!
