Gift presents: bobby pins tutorial,

kids craft ideas

My top 2 places for inspiration:
1. Pottery Barn
2. Anthropology
SO when I stumbled across these ADORABLE bobby pins,
I had to make them!
I present to you MY Anthro Inspired,
Poppy Bobby Pin Tutorial:
bobby pin
2 pieces of 1.5″x1.5″ polyester satin
2 pieces of 1″x1″ polyester satin
2 rhinestones for embellishing
glue gun
6″ piece of 3/8″ grosgrain ribbon
cut squares
Two 1.5″x1.5″ squares
Two 1″x1″ squares
Next, you will round the edges of your 4 silk squares.
so you have circles
CAREFULLY using matches, burn the edges of each circle until the fabric melts and curls.
Next, stack your 1″ and 1/2″ circles together.
Secure with a dab of hot glue
Now we are going to wrap our bobby pin with ribbon.
I fed 1″ of ribbon thru the center of the bobby pin, applied glue,
 folded the 1″ over,
and then began wrapping the ribbon around ONE side of the bobby pin.
Lastly, you are going to glue your two flowers onto the bobby pin, and embellish with a rhinestone.
Ta Da! A new hair accessory!
Make any color you wish!
The possibilities are endless!
