“From Russia with Love” Backpack, Coin Purse, Keychain
Inspired by Russian folk art dolls, this backpack, wallet and keychain nest to carry all her favorite things.

RED HEART SOFT, 5oz/140g balls, each approx 256yd/234m (100% acrylic)

  • 2 balls #9925 Really Red (A)
  • 1 ball #4604 Navy (B)
  • 1 ball #9388 Wheat (C)
  • 1 ball #4412 Grass Green (D)
  • 1 ball #4600 White (E)
  • 1 ball #4422 Tangerine (F)
  • 1 ball #9344 Chocolate (G)
  • 1 ball #9114 Honey (H)

KNITTING NEEDLES
For Backpack

  • 1 pair size 6 (4mm) knitting needles
  • 1 pair size 10 (6mm) knitting needles or any size to obtain correct gauge

For Coin Purse and Keychain

  • 1 pair size 7 (4.5mm) knitting needles or any size to obtain correct gauge

For All Projects

  • 1 set size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed knitting needles (optional, for Cord)

NOTIONS

For Backpack

  • 2 black buttons, .5″/1.5 diameter

For Coin Purse

  • 2 black beads, 6mm
  • Decorative button, .5″/1.5 diameter
  • 2 small snap fasteners

For Keychain

  • 2 Size E black beads
  • Decorative button, .5″/1.5cm diameter
  • Small snap fastener
  • Keyring

For All Projects

  • 1 Susan Bates French Knitter, 4-peg (optional, for Cord)
  • Red embroidery thread
  • Red crayon or blush
  • Yarn needle

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Backpack 9″/23cm wide by 12″/30.5cm tall
Coin Purse 8″/20.5 cm tall
Keychain 4″/10cm tall

GAUGE
For Backpack
14 sts and 20 rows = 4″/10cm in Stockinette st using 2 strands of yarn and size 10 (6mm) needles
For Coin Purse and Keychain
17 sts and 24 rows = 4″/10cm in Stockinette st using 1 strand of yarn and size 7 (4.5mm) needles
Remember to check gauge for best results!
