Make a Cocktail Ring

Happy New Year! I thought ringing in the New Year with a new cocktail ring was fitting. This one is easy as a pinch.

Start out with an adjustable ring base and topper (the flower thing is what I am calling a topper). I found this flower pendant at Wal Mart on clearance for less than $2.00. I had to get it! Since it was intended to be used as a pendant, I broke the loops off the back with pliers to create a flatter surface.

Glue the topper to the ring with E6000. Don’t think you can get away with just plain ol’ hot glue with this. I tried it and the topper fell off within a couple hours. Hot glue is not intended to adhere well to metals.

You could probably wear it after letting it dry for a few hours but I let mine dry over night to be safe.

Go and be pretty,
