Crafts for summer: Ruffle Bracelet tutorial

Jewelry making, Recycle, Sewing  |  September 5th 2011  |  0 Comment

Supplies you’ll need:

Ribbon
Thread
Scrap Fabric of some kind
Buttons & or other embellishments
Sewing Machine

I took and chopped off the buttons and the button holes……this is for the Bracelet….(if you are using scrap fabric, cut it into a rectangle)
Next take off the BUTTONS
Now get some ribbon & cut it the same length as the scrap…..

Now take your top thread and GATHER to a ruffle….make sure its still long enough to fit around the front of your wrist………
This part I didn’t get a picture of but it’s self explanatory….
PRESS open your ruffle with your Iron…..
Now choose an embellishment…..
I used the BUTTONS from the cardie, I sewed them on by hand right where the edge of the front ruffle meets the ribbon tie….
And here is the finished Product…
(don’t mind my TOTALLY white skin! I haven’t seen the sun much yet!)

And there you go! An easy little bracelet you can make with scraps of fabric and ribbon!
Enjoy!
