Gift presents for bride: Making Wedding Dress – Sewing the Bust Part Sewing patterns the same for both right and left side of the bust curves. After that, I cut in the “V” shape part of the bust line. Then I ironed the bust line, folding the seam allowances inwards. Also, I added a strip of selvage fabric at the “V” line to strengthen that part. This trick I learned from the Perfect Bombshell Dress course as well. The course was totally worth it! Read
Sewing for little girls: Katie Dress Pattern tutorial As a kid, I hated that my doll clothes closed with velcro. After a few weeks they were always gunked up with cat hair, doll hair, fuzz, and whatever else found its way to the velcro. So I wanted to create clothes that had real world methods of closure. So, The Katie Dress has a zipper back! Sewing patternrs And sweet rick rack details. Or, if you prefer, piping! These dresses are amazingly simple to construct. Katie Dress
hat is ruched on top of waist band. This is how it looks like from the front. I cut a piece of fabric that is 1.5 longer in length than the waist band. Then I sewed a straight line with wide stitch length, gathered the fabric, and sewed it on the waist band in order to create this ruched look. Inside looks like this. I stopped often to iron. I’m so happy that the side seams matched up perfectly! This is how it looks

I love doing custom orders. Custom orders are a lot of work, but gives me different challenges, and a chance to expand different variations and patterns of work. I was recently asked to make a modification of this dress. Her request was to keep the big buttons, add “rolled up sleeves”, and big pockets. Before I made one for her, I made one sample to make sure if the patterns work. It ended up this dress was pretty simple, and can
into this gorgeous swimsuit cover-up! Isn’t it just precious?! It was incredibly easy to make! Materials (this is for a 3T/4T size, but can be worn a little longer): 1 yard terry fabric 1 spool 1.5″ ribbon 20″ of 1″ elastic 3.5″ velcro fabric scraps coordinating thread First, take the terry cloth and cut it in half width-wise, making it 23″ by 36″. Square up the sides, but don’t cut the bottom where the fabric is finished. This will be the bottom of your cover-up. Serge around the 3 unfinished sides. If
Gift presents for a little girl: Petti Romper tutoriral Sewing patterns This romper went together so quickly! Sofie wasn’t as thrilled about it as I was (and was bribed with candy in order to cooperate!) but she willingly tried it on repeatedly. The only downside about using the ruffle fabric is that the romper isn’t going to shrink as small as some of the others. I know they fit infants through toddlers, but this romper is more size specific. I cut my fabric
Sewing pattens Fashion for pregnant: The Grecian Maternity Maxi dress tutorial Lets get started!! You’ll need: 1.5 to 2 yards of 58″/60″ wide jersey fabric depending on your height (I’d estimate that 1.5 yards would work well for those 5’5″ and under) 1/2″ wide elastic What to do: 1) Measure yourself from just above your bust (around about the crease of your armpit), to where you’d like your hem to lay. Add on 1″ for hem allowances. I am 5’5″ and for me the magic number was
a sheath dress. Gift presents for women: 30 MINUTE JERSEY SHEATH Sewing patterns This fabric is light-weight, stretchy, but with a surprising amount of “body” to it. The rolled details add a lot of visual interest as well as wiggle room. Wiggle room for imperfect seams. Jersey can sure be a pain in the neck to sew if you don’t have a surger. Which I obviously don’t have. Here’s how I made this little number and how you can make one of your
Pattern Free Tie Back Halter Top Crafts for summer: beautiful dress for kids Sewing patterns and tutorial This halter top/dress could be adapted to virtually any size (but good luck tying up the straps on your own back). YOU'LL NEED: Large purple rectangle = bodice. Elastic is for gathering at chest. Two long white straps tapered at the ends. Two small purple pieces form the loops for the straps. For the bodice, measure around the chest, then add four inches. This is your desired width of fabric.
Sewing pattern and tutoriral Necklines and sleeves can be the toughest part of dress making. Here I've refashioned a tank top into a dress by adding a cotton skirt and (rejoice!) I didn't have to make any sleeves or collar! First, cut off a tank top about 1.5 inches below the underarm seams. Gift for mum: Women's Tank Top Dress Refashion Cut a length of fabric for the skirt which is several inches wider than your waist and hips (mine is doubled over here). You
Gift presents for a little girl: patchwork circle skirt tutorial Sewing patterns The hardest part about this dress is not going bonkers while gathering the last layer. Make sure you have enough scrapes on hand, or head off to the thrft store for some pillow cases and free box goodies. Its best to have cotton-blends. Fabrics that have too much polyester will not iron well and do not make good patchwork. Try to find fabrics that are about the same weight, although
