Bow Ties and Boutonnières tutorial

Making flower  |  May 4th 2011  |  0 Comment
Davis wouldn’t wear his flower, but Collin did and he was so cute.  I thought Easter would be the next perfect time for a little boy to wear a boutonniere.
This is a such a quick and fun flower it’s hard to stop making them.
Supplies:
A 1 x 20 inch strip of fabric
don’t worry about cutting it, the frayed edge adds to the effect
A small square of felt; 2 x 2 inches or smaller
Hot glue gun
Safety pin
1.  Put a dab of hot glue on the end of you fabric and pinch it in half.
2.  Glue the pinch to the center of the felt square.
3.  Twist your fabric in a spiral and glue down to the felt.
4.  Tuck the end of your fabric under glue down.

5.  When the glue has cooled, trim the excess felt away.
6.  Grab your safety pin and attach it to the back of the felt circle.
Your Easter boutonniere is ready to be pinned on.
